PS State Department for Devolution, Miss Teresia Mbaika CBS, Presides over the 13th Graduation ceremony of the Machakos Institute of Technology at the Kenyattta Stadium

The Principal Secretary of the State Department for Devolution Teresia Mbaika CBS, today presided over the Machakos Institute of Technology's 13th graduation ceremony today, celebrating the achievements of over 200 graduands.
In a heartfelt address, the Principal Secretary congratulated the graduands and acknowledged the dedication of their trainers, emphasizing the importance of resilience in overcoming challenges throughout their educational journeys. 
"You stand on the brink of new opportunities and adventures," said the PS, urging the graduates to embrace the world through a lens of possibility.
Highlighting the transformative impact of devolution in Kenya, she noted that new job opportunities are now available even in rural areas, allowing graduates to explore various paths without the need to migrate to urban centers. 
PS Mbaika reinforced the government's commitment to supporting youth entrepreneurship and innovation, particularly in technology sectors, urging students to seize these opportunities.
The Principal Secretary also addressed the pressing issues of drug abuse and early pregnancies among youth, calling for comprehensive strategies to support students in these areas. She encouraged personal responsibility in making choices that align with their aspirations, emphasizing the importance of timing in life decisions.
As the ceremony concluded, PS Mbaika urged graduates to approach the future with optimism and determination, reminding them that they possess the power to impact their communities and the nation.
